Ship.com Introduces AI Shipping Manager and Agentic Commerce Tools for Online Sellers

Ship.com has launched two new AI tools aimed at online sellers and developers building AI-powered commerce experiences: SHIP AI, a proactive shipping assistant, and SHIP MCP, a Model Context Protocol integration for agentic commerce.

SHIP AI works directly inside the Ship.com platform, analyzing incoming orders, correcting addresses, flagging problems, and choosing the most cost-effective shipping option — preparing shipments for approval rather than waiting to be asked. Sellers stay in control of anything involving money, including label purchases and account reloads, which require approval by default. Ship.com CEO Joe DiSorbo described the tool as working more like a shipping manager than a general-purpose chatbot. Since its beta launch on August 11, more than 30% of orders in the first week were purchased through SHIP AI.

SHIP MCP extends more than 35 of Ship.com's shipping capabilities — including rating, labeling, and tracking — into Claude and other AI-built applications through the Model Context Protocol, letting developers embed shipping directly into agentic commerce workflows. It's available through Claude Desktop CLI by searching "Ship.com" in Claude's connector directory, or directly through the Ship.com website.
