Pillar 3 · Automations
Automations turn plain English into shipping rules
Automations let you describe a repetitive shipping task once, in your own words, and turn it into a rule that runs inside your Ship.com account.
Type “every morning, buy the cheapest label for paid domestic orders under a pound” and Ship AI turns it into a real rule, with the trigger, the conditions, and the action ready for you to review and save. Prefer to build by hand? A standard editor makes the same kind of rule. Want a head start? Begin from a ready-made template.
Rules can fire when an order is paid, when a label prints, when a package is delivered, when a new order arrives from Shopify, Etsy, eBay, or another connected store, or on a schedule you set in your own time zone. A rule can set the package weight and size, pick the cheapest available rate, buy the label, or send one of your saved customer emails.
Every new rule starts in Suggest mode. It watches your real orders and reports what it would have done, spending nothing, until you promote it. Review mode waits for your one-click approval on each run. Auto mode runs on its own, only because you turned it on, and stays inside a daily spend cap and a daily action cap you set. One master switch pauses everything. A permanent activity log shows what every rule did, would have done, or skipped, and why. A rule can act on an order only once, so nothing double-charges.
